COVID-19 UPDATE - All new appointments are currently online via Zoom, WhatsApp or FaceTime. Telephone counselling is also available if you’d prefer this. I also offer a small number of Walk and Talk sessions for clients in the local area.
I’m Sara and I’m a qualified counsellor who specialises in loss and bereavement.
I also work with people who are navigating other difficult situations in life, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and chronic illness.

How I Work
As your counsellor, my role isn’t to offer a solution to your problems. I aim to support and empower you to live your life as fully as possible.
I provide counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, whether that takes places online, over the telephone or in person. I work on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, depending on what suits you best.
Most of my work is on an individual basis but I also work with couples who have experienced joint loss.
What You’ll Get From Our Sessions
Counselling can help you to gain acceptance about your loss, implement new coping strategies to manage your emotions and behaviours, and feel confident to move forwards in your life. It can also provide an outlet for the emotions that you’re experiencing.
If you decide to work with me, you’ll gain a greater understanding of yourself and your choices. You’ll have the opportunity to work through the worries and challenges that are affecting you, and to ultimately feel better about both yourself and your future.
I’ll also help you to create practical techniques that you can use when you feel anxious or overwhelmed.
I’m Sara Torrome and I’m a fully qualified counsellor based in Beaconsfield. I’m a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS).
I have completed additional training in Relationships and Infant Loss, which enables me to work with adults who have experienced loss in these areas.
You can see more about my qualifications on the FAQ page.
